UE4 is future proof, and now so is Ethan. That allowed us to make the PS4 version, already out.Ģ. UE4 supports the current generation of consoles out of the box, and UE3 does not (big studios can rewrite parts of it to achieve this feature, but for us it made more sense just to redo the game). When we started developing the game in 2012, UE4 was not production ready yet. Why didn’t you make the game in UE4 from the start?
You can buy the game (and, as mentioned, get both the original UE3 version and the UE4 Redux remaster) on Steam or GOG. Note that “Redux” is sort of an unofficial tag, we do not even feature the word on the game’s art. There are no extra quests or secrets in the Redux version.

I think that not so many play this game and therefore not encounter the problem. "I did everything except uninstall Avast, my reason for this is that why should Ethan Carter be any different from say Ven VR Adventure that had no issues downloading/installing? I believe it is a specific error in the distribution of Ethan Carter that was introduced with the recent version update. This is my last message and have not heard back yet: I did only the first thing and inactivated Avast, but nothing changed and other games download and install correctly. I tried with Oculus support and they would have me uninstall Oculus Tray Tool, then uninstall Avast antivirus, then uninstall all Oculus software and begin again, which would wipe all games.
